From my Bucket list

June, 1999

The year following the death of my mother,

the year following my completion of treatment…

Lymphoma(Non-Hodgkin’s / B-cell large& small)

that year was a blur.

He’d made a lot of money in the stock market

& we should go on a trip to celebrate…

Sedona!

My only ever hot air- ballooning,
high above the Arizona desert

up at o-dark-thirty.

One thing I remember,

was the quiet of dawn as
we slipped skyward.

Everyone fell silent,
as if in prayer…

I thought of my life

about how much I missed my mother,

& the absolute beauty

of sunrise over the red rocks.

Poetess, memoir writing, essays about life; these are the things I write about. I also love to cook, so you'll likely find a recipe or two in this blog. I am passionate about Nature and family, so from time to time I will share pictures-with or without poetry.
